LIRCS boasts one of the most scenic fields on Long Island, offering its members unparalleled opportunities to engage in one of the most spectacular flyovers in the region.
Success in maintaining this site stems from our respectful relationships with the landlord, neighbors, and environment. Our site is adjacent to an active horse farm, which requires us to be particularly cautious and considerate when establishing flying rules.
The North and East sides of our field offer peaceful, non-overfly zones, while the Southern and Western areas, though expansive are part of a working farm. Our By-Laws and Field Rules are thoughtfully crafted to foster positive relationships with our neighbors and support the ongoing enjoyment of our wonderful flying site.
